James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." It's good to know that we can resist Satan and he will run away. The importantt thing to remember though is that we need to be in submission to God. We have to yield to His authority to have authority over the devil.

Philippians 4:13 "I an do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is the scripture I quote the most. I tend to take it out of context. This scripture is really about being content in spite of bad circumstances. This is much clearer when you read verses 10-13 together.

James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been proved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." The term temptation here is really referring to any kind of test or trial. God rewards us when we overcome this worldly obstacle course we call life.

Philippians 4:13 is my favorite verse of all time. When I have a hard situation that I can't deal with I remember that I can do all things through Christ who strenthens me. My second favorite is Psalm 23 I think.

"Study, to show thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not to be ashamed...Rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 2Tim 2;15

Like Frankie suggests, I am bound to take it out of context. The following verse is NOT one of my favorites, for it is where I fall down a lot..."But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. "

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,to those who are called according to His purpose." It doesn't always seem to work that way, but when we look back its amazing the things God uses to get us where we need to be. If we keep trusting Him everything works out.

Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
