actually its almost straight across the lake a little to the north even. I think all the color makes it hard to make out the lakeshore on the other side.
It's not the north shore, its the west shore just south of that dock St. Peters had there. I have another picture i took the same time that shows our shoreline at the bottom. You can tell easier if you look at the picture enlarged.
I think the difference between this picture of that northwest corner and the ones of the boys fishing towards that same spot is the distance and the clouds. The clouds seem to make it all look different.
Actually, I think it's because I took those in the boat from the level of the water and this sunset from up on the deck so the closer trees don't look taller than the ones farther away.

Where was this taken from? I'm thinking maybe the landing they built out in the pasture??

Is that facing the south corner where the river is on the end there?
Its the northwest end of the lake a little south of the river. It's about as far north as the sun sets in mid june.
that's why it looked so different I expected it to be facing the other way... it's a really neat picture
